Why are more black people shot by police than white? Well you might wanna take a look at the violent crime rate of black compared to white. The homicide rate is 5 times greater in black communities compared to white communities. It is not a situation of race, it is a situation of class and unfortunately the case is white people have grown up in on average higher class communities than black people. There was actually a study done that it is more likely a cop will be hesitant to shoot a black man than a white man due to it blowing up in his face and having his life ruined. Also, almost all these cases of ‘race crimes’ are against criminals. This Blake guy is a rapist. George Floyd held a loaded gun at a pregnant woman’s stomach and was high on fentanyl when he was arrested. Now I’m not excusing the cops actions especially of the one in Floyd’s case because what he did was utterly stupid and idiotic, but you seriously got to feel for the victims of these criminals who see their assailants victimized and shown as saints around the world because that is the truly &^@#ed up $&!# in all of this. My point is we shouldn’t be focusing on defunding or reforming the police because for the most part they are doing their jobs, what we should focus on is how we can lower the crime rates in those high violent crime communities. That is done through better schooling, better housing. Maybe a sort of universal basic income would help all people out of the slum of poverty which drives those people to crime. But let’s not misinform everyone and villainize the police because they are the people putting their lives on the line for the good of society. Floyd was arrested for accused of using a $20 counterfeit I stopped reading your nonsense. 2 1 2 1

Evander Kane has endured so much racism in his privileged Canadian life that he has to push this agenda. For a guy who has had multiple sex assault accusations, he sure is trying his best to re-invent his image. That's a garbage take. You have no idea what racism he's tolerated or what he endured growing up, or even institutionalized in the sport. Remember when Twitter got very angry and racist after Joel Ward scored a series winning goal for the Caps just a few years back? Racism is alive and well and I'd rather see someone stand up and try to invoke positive change than bicker over whether a person has endured enough racism to have a valid opinion on this matter. Go Canucks. Whenever the next game may be.

This is a societal and systematical problem, and cancelling sports for a day is not going to change anything. Protesting and burning down businesses during a pandemic won't either. What the media wants this to be is a race problem. They want us all to be divided. They don't want us to take a hard look at the people in power, the people behind the scenes. The people that created this unfair and unjust system in the first place. That's who we should all be united against. ANYWHOO.. that's enough of that.. 5

This is hockey talk it is talk about humanity and is what any decent person would want to talk about....like Stecher (quote below) I got an idea why not keep your profanity out of this forum.... Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Vancouver Canucks defenceman Troy Stecher was asked if he had seen the graphic video and what his reaction was to the incident. “Personally I haven’t seen the video, I’ve heard all about the context and the incident,” he said. “It’s heart-wrenching, it’s disgusting. Just like anything in life as a team, we need to come together and we need change, and this is direct evidence of that. Thoughts and prayers are obviously with his family and that community.” END QUOTE The whole world needs to speak up and keep speaking up in any forum available to do that...!!!!!!!!!
