With the revamped schedule, the Canucks now play on back-to-back nights this weekend, so I am posting this early to make sure everyone has a chance to make their predictions.

It doesn't even matter anymore. The competition is tainted. The schedule now calls for some teams to play more back to backs than other teams, and along with the NHL's game management policy in regards to refereeing games, the competition is somewhat cooked. Like books.

Following a logical progression of numbers and based on the games to date, it will be a 3 - 2 Vancouver win.

 

The first game was a 5 - 0 loss for the Canucks. The second game was  5 - 2 win for the Canucks. They matched the goal output from the previous win. VGK got 2 goals in game two, so the difference was 3, which was their winning margin in game three. This means that on Sunday the Canucks should match the VGK goal output from tonight, while Vegas should only get 2 goals.
