So the important questions:

What’s everyone drinking?

When did you start drinking?

Is everyone prepared for some shotguns tonight?

Just picked up a 4pk of Townsite Savary Beaches wheat ale, and I have a bit of tequila hanging out in the cupboard.

Vegas does not want a repeat of last year and will be playing desperation hockey for the first time this series. We joke about them having anxiety but in sports, anxiety fuels us to compete harder sometimes.

Canucks have to come out hard and strike first blood.

Once panic sets in, vegas will unravel and get away from their systems and we can further punish them on the scoreboard.

Cant give them any confidence from the beginning.

No question about it, I am ready to get hurt again.

I hear this, but it’s different this year. I like being the underdog. If we win it’s a full on party and celebration. If they lose it’s all good. This core is young enough to compete for years to come. The stress is all on Vegas.

PBR, Bud, might break out the tequila.

Starting to drink on the front 9 about 4 hours before puck drop.

I can crush multiple shotguns tonight.

Maybe the NHL had absolutely zero faith the Canucks would get to Game 7. Jerks.

Did any of us honestly expect better? I said on here that I expected this team to turn some heads in the playoffs, and I predicted the *possibility* of beating the Blues but I didn't at all expect us to beat Vegas.

As a side note, I live in enemy territory in Calgary and have seen even the strongest anti-Canucks fans changing their tune. General consensus is that the team is no longer the team they love to hate now that our "difficult" players are gone - such as Bieksa, Kesler, and Burrows. In addition, I see a lot of people finally admitting the Canucks are a good team (better than the Flames if nothing else) and that JB has done a great job with the rebuild. Finally, the effort this team has been putting in has not gone unnoticed by other fans and has seemed to generate a respect we haven't had for some time.

Now, do I really care what other fans think? Not really. But if you can turn around many of the fans on opposing teams that says a lot about our team, imo.

Oh please, no overtime. My 72+ year old heart can't take it!!

5-3 Canucks.  Close game until the end where the Canucks take a 4-3 lead with 10 left in the third (Pearson).  Boeser then seals the deal with 2:41left by cashing in that EN goal.

I'm figuring out how to reply to certain posts.

Anyways, for the past few years I've been reading all the negative comments on JB, TG and the team they have put together. I didn't post until now but I have to say I have a lot of respect for JB and this team.

Watching JB in interviews, I can see that he is an intelligent and genuine person with integrity and character. The team he built has all his traits. This team is built from what was left off from our legendary Sedins, high character, integrity and hard working. As much as how an effective player matthew tkachuk is, he does not fit in with this team's culture and JB vision. I still think OJ will be a great player for us starting next season.
