(Proposal) Van-CBJ

Recommended Posts

To VAN:

RFA rights to Josh Anderson

To CBJ:

RFA rights to Jake Virtanen

Both players are pretty similar and get fresh starts.

I would do that in a heart beat, not sure it's enough for Columbus though

Benning is looking to sign Toffoli. Markstrom and Tanev.  They have to cut somewhere to find that cap space and Virtanen at possibly 3M is too expensive.  MacIntyre explains here why he can't see Stecher or Virtanen back based on the cost to retain them.

Anderson is looking to get more than that.  So either Benning re-thinks his top-6 or that's really not the kind of return he is looking for Virtanen.  Also Anderson is very much in demand per Portzline.  He's had a bad season but his agent a few month earlier excluded taking a paycut (he was already out injured).  He is apparently aiming for a Tom Wilson type contract.  Anderson had a 27 goal season.

I kid you not, that proposal was floating in my mind earlier today.
