86Viking
Canucks could use a C with some youth and size, maybe the team sees Andrew Copp as a possible #3C? I really like how Copp plays whenever the Canucks play him, think he is 4th line C on their team but maybe he has more to give? Copp- 1 year @ 2.28m then an rfa with arbitration rights Perreault- 1 year at 4.125m, could flip at deadline with retention for a pick, might be a playmaking option for 3rd line and 2nd PP unit Stecher- RFA but Jets need D Roussel- 2 years at 3m The salaries will be close to the same if Stech gets around 3m I think. Canucks can hopefully move out Sutter then we can have Gaudette on the wing and Copp at C on the 3rd line. Or would you take a flyer on this: Roslovic for Virtanen? EternalCanuckFan
I don't mind the players but making it all fit under the cap is the challenge if the Canucks don't at least move out Sutter's contract first or find a way to deal with Eriksson's. As long as he can pass a physical, I'd be good with him on a short term deal. Markstrom for Marner is NEVER going to happen, can't trade someone who's a UFA for someone on an established contract, not to even mention the financial part of fitting someone making almost 11 million per season and then trying to have money left to sign Petterson and Hughes next summer. You'd basically be saying that you are trading one of them and possibly others to make room for Marner.

Dusting Byfuglien is done with hockey. Would be shocked if he returns to the league.
