Then again, IIRC Lawson Crouse was all it took for Florida to offload Bolland on Arizona so maybe there's a chance. He was also much more recently removed from his draft year than Jake currently is. I just don't see Jake holding much trade value given his body of work and the fact he's got arb rights in a flat-cap league.

I’ll do all I can to help the team as much as possible — if there’s a chance. “I’ve been feeling good. I’ve just been trying to work hard every day and that’s been the situation here for a while. I can only really do is what’s best for my own thing.” It's funny.... I agree with the bolded part. [Except for the "I'm a..." part. That should read "I was". He's a reverse one-way player at this point.] It's what we say when we're apologizing for him. But hearing it out of his mouth - in conjunction with "I'll never quit." That... pisses me off. Devron
Always cheered for every player on this team since I started watching hockey. Wanted them to succeed even through adversity but I’m so done with LE. I can’t bare to see him dress another game as a Canuck. Enough is enough 2 1

He was a 2015 draftee and the trade happened in August 2016.

You are the only one saying that. I approached this from the personal level, and you keep talking about the business side I'm saying 31 million for 5 years of work is more then enough for him and his family to live off for the rest of their lives. Realistically the next year would probably be rough if he needs to leave Vancouver and uproot his family. 5 million is more money then as of us will ever have, but this guy already has more money then he will ever need. Not to mention it would do a huge favor to the people he has spent the last number of years of his life with. Guy would know him suffering in the minors would also cause his team to be handcuffed. It's a loose loose for him Do you actually think he brought home $31m? Try taking a significant chunk off for escrow, taxes, agent fees, etc. Regardless. What he’s made or hasn’t made in the last few years is immaterial. He has a contract that still owes him $5m. And him to the minors? Sure. Escrow doesn’t apply to players in the minors. He’ll make 20% more by being sent down. lol. All your “ take one for the team” crap is ridiculous. It’s a business. You say you’d walk away from $5m. I seriously doubt it.

Lol suspending without pay for speaking his mind? Pretty sure that against freedom of speech. Dont even try of making the « conduct detrimental to the team » argument, that’s not even close. timberz21
Could the Canucks give permission to JPBarry to negotiate a contract with another team for Eriksson? canucks pay the bonus, Eriksson is owed 5M$ (1+4) for 2 years, then both mutually terminate contract. Eriksson signs somewhere at 2M for one year, which is a decent Number for him. He would actually win more money in 2021 that way. Then he bets on himself to pry another 2-3M for the 2022 season. probably not legal.

Throwing the coach under the bus for not continuing to gift him unearned minutes while LE floated around the ice and refused to put in an honest effort is conduct detrimental to the team though. LE should have acted like a professional and keep his mouth shut instead of blaming Green for his disgraceful effort on the ice, especially when Green had publicly defended our 6 million dollar bum to the media. Freedom of speech does not mean you get to publicly complain about you overly generous boss with zero consequences.
