Short time before, we pilfered Pavel. & how would He, Big Trev & Jags got on? I'm skeptical they woulda' meshed. Psychos like Mario & Wayne were the ultimate legal steroid. They could turn Craig Coxe into a 30 goal fire hydrant. Had Nedved gone there, his history/career prob would've been switched w/Jags! So what are we left with? Maybe hoping EP can become some sorta' star-maker? I will bet through his sublime talent, work ethic & commitment, he'll influence perhaps a 10-20% higher ceiling from some incoming youngins'.

JB already called him out for not performing as well as he should have (which was a bit foolish for trade marketability). If a guy is being traded, it is assumed the team has whatever their reasons are for moving on.

If we had this site in 1990, would we be second-guessing managerial gaffes(some orig-6'er) from 1960? Personally I fully accept this team's 50 yr stretch. There's been a lot of fun & laughs. Just four yrs later('94) may well have been the very best(& pleasing moments) run in their history!

Wouldn't it be better to get a draft pick for him than lose him for free? Benning is high on Lind and so am I. I think he could play in the NHL next year and be a good 3rd line winger. Much more complete game than Jake. If Jake is still on the roster though I could see Benning protecting Lind and not Virtanen.

And that somebody is going to have to be attractive as a pick up but also somebody the Canucks can do without. Lind will be on his ELC and not eligible so he's not a worry but if you have Jake, Leivo, Gaudette and Motte exposed, who would Seattle take? I think it would be Jake. It doesn't matter if you are on an ELC, the rule is that if the player has played in 3 seasons at a pro level he will be eligible for selection by Seattle. Next year will be Lind's 3rd pro year. So he's eligible for the draft. Edited September 19, 2020 by Elias Pettersson
