Lol....'player x to test free agency' translates into they haven't been offered anything and they have no other choice but to become a UFA.

OR the player just wants to see what he can get on the open market. Y'know, like Eriksson did. 30 goal season before he signed that 6M anchor.

But the tweet says Dorian won't be offering him a deal and that they will be going in a different direction. Doesn't sound like much if an option to come back.

Could be the end of the road, he'll be 40 next May. His longevity as a goalie has been impressive, so has his play.

Has amazing playoffs stats. Always gave his team a chance to win. Battled his way from the minors early in his career. Always like those kind of guys. Impressive indeed

It looks like the market is being saturated with goalies. There will be plenty of options should we not lock up Marky.
The flat cap and team ownership financial issues will also drive the market down.
I can’t see Marky demanding so much given these circumstances.

Downward pressure on salaries in the goalie market (high supply).  Reconcile that with the knowledge that Marky finished 4th in Vezina voting.  What now for JM?

Hasek is the best goalie they've ever had. Dorion and his recency bias yikes

Craig Anderson is a great goalie though, and I hope he can secure as much money and term as possible, in order to set him, his wife and family up for the future! Hope she's doing well, haven't heard too much on that front in a bit.
