jguyer
Justin Schultz may be the next Kevin Shattenkirk to the team that takes a chance on him. Although Schultz is not being bought out and is now a UFA, should the canucks take a chance and offer him a contract? If they do, how much term and money would be fair? He just finished a contract for 3 yrs @ 5.5 per and suffered injuries and a large drop off in points. A player like Schultz or Shattenkirk who is no longer the star they once were yet still young enough to re-establish themselves can be a veteran presence in a cap crunch that most teams find themselves in now. If I was JB, I would offer him a 1 yr 2 million contract. Oh yeah, he is a right sided D as well.

Hey Justin, I think the Canucks have better options for UFA.

YEGCanuck
I have one basic rule, never trade for a player the Oilers got rid of. 1
Patel Bure
Schultz hasn’t been the same since his injury. Pass. I’m also not a fan of how he chose Edmonton over us back in 2012.
WCE
i would offer him 3yr/3m plus bonus of 2mil if he gets 20 points or more. A hometown discount & the possibility of earning more. 1mil per season & 3 mil if he hit's 20pts.
Makaramel MacKhiato
Last year I was at a charity golf tournament in Kelowna and Justin Schultz was there. During dinner, I sat at the table beside him. The roast was pretty raw, and when I swallowed it, I started choking. I choked for a solid 45 seconds before someone gave me the heimlich maneuver and popped the food out. Justin Schultz just watched. I hope the rest of the league watches him walk into the AHL. He was probably watching his life flash before your eyes. Glad to hear you were saved. Not sure he was though.

You would think someone who coughed up the puck as much as that pylon did would have some empathy. Glad you made it ok. JeremyCuddles
I was gonna say, we have a Justin Shultz. His name is Rafferty. Lol. Schultz maybe could have had a good career if he chose us instead of Edmonton. Him and Edler coulda been pretty deadly together. But as of now. I'd rather roll with Rafferty and Juolevi fighting for that 3rd pair spot. Guy looks like he's injured often, playing a cozy schedule with Pittsburgh too. No thanks.
