mll Posted October 6, 2020 Share Posted October 6, 2020 They were looking to clear cap space to sign Dillon. There was mutual interest but Washington needed more room. Kempny will probably go on LTIR. Lundqvist is expected to sign with them - have to wait for Friday. He is UFA so could already talk to teams. He is one of the best D on the market, (there isn’t a ton of stiff competition). Once Pietrangelo is gone, how many bridesmaids would need to fill a top 4RD spot... Pittsburgh? Vigneault wants him in Philly due to their recent surprise retirement? Toronto? Whether he is a fit here long term or not, I think there is a serious market for him and he will get a bigger contract with a longer term than he can live up to.
