Junkyard Dog
That’s a pretty nice return for bones.
Provost
One would think Virtanen is worth this kind of return. Is Kunin better than him?
VancouverHabitant
I thought Kunin was a great young player! Good pickup for Nashville

24K PureCool
Man Bonino is passed around the league like a cheap towel.
Odjick29willkillyou
Based on this and Bones being an older 3C, what do y'all think someone like Gaud would get in a return? In terms of current roster value for picks he and Jake are really the only two I can see netting anything worthwhile (aside from our untouchables). Dazzle
Virtanen isn't worth Bonino, come on. Bonino has far more playoff experience, and he's won a freaking cup to boot. MAYBE virtanen has a higher potential, but Bonino at this point is a proven entity. Virtanen is not.

Kunin netted Bonino plus good picks. Objective reality suggests that Bonino isn’t worth what you think. The question is whether Virtanen is equivalent to Kunin.... clearly Bonino wasn’t worth as much as Kunin, as they had to add a couple of big sweeteners as well. It is also about cap hits...

Kunin has roughly half as many points as Virtanen, and is 2 years younger. He also has better AHL stats than Virtanen. There's no questions about Kunin's work ethic. The 2nd and 3rd round picks, plus Bonino is a really good return for Kunin though.
Blömqvist
I wonder if Judd had a big say in this trade -- with the 37th pick the Wild select centre Marat Khusnutdinov who is currently playing in the KHL.
