[Trade] Rangers trade Lias Andersson to Kings for 2020 2nd-round pick

I thought this guy would have turned out better by now. That’s disappointing. Hopefully he turns it around.

Apparently he was in the SHL to avoid the Rangers. And he's only 22, so it's a bit premature to say he's disappointing for not being in the NHL yet. He's been really good in the SHL. I think the Kings just stole a really solid player for next to nothing.

Wow 7th for 60th... He was the one that threw the silver medal into the crowd?

Yes, that's him. Didnt want to play for the Rangers either because of he was entitled. Still insane how a skilled like him gets traded for a 2nd lol.

If Lias Andersson is worth a late 2nd, then I would assume Jake is worth more.  Andersson has proven essentially nothing at the NHL level.  He still has good upside, but Jake has actually played regularly at the NHL level and has started to produce at a reasonable level.

I dunno.  The RFA arbitration might have something to do with it.

Anderson has a higher upside if he pans out too.

They’re different in circumstances.

Needs to show he's still something like the player taken 7th and not just an entitled douche but there's certainly potential to be a big win for LAK.

Fair enough.  It's not a perfect comparable but a 2nd round pick for Andersson seems a bit lower of a cost than one would have expected.
