Popular Post GoldenAlien
Three points in his first five games, he's also played over 20 minutes in each of his last four games. 4
Popular Post SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
In addition to Jurmo’s 3 points in 5 games, he’s also getting the 2nd most defensive deployment of Jukurit’s main six Dmen, with just 47.6% offensive zonestarts. Averaging 20:41 TOI/GP on the season. Has 18 shots on goal in 5 games. Solid start for the 19 year old. He’s currently second in Liiga for U20 defencemen scoring and points/game. And from the looks of his deployment, he’s not really getting sheltered, or favourable offensive minutes. 5

Popular Post Dixon Ward
I don't think enough is being made about Jurmo. He floundered a bit last year and it seemed like it may take him a while, but he is playing first line-type minutes and generating offense in a pretty good league in his draft +2. This is a big leap forward. His size and skating are nhl ready, but he needs to play big, important minutes to hone his game. He is being given that chance. Playing with another former Kelowna Rocket btw, Libor Zabransky. 3 4
Popular Post Junkyard Dog
Pretty good start in the Liiga for Jurmo. If he can keep this up he will quickly rise in our prospect rankings and I am willing to bet he’ll get a look at the WJC. Raw player but potential is there and so far this season has been a major step forward. 3

Probably could compete with Hughes for best overall skater in the organization and he does that with size to boot. He just needs to round out his game. Probably keep him in another year after this one in Finland before bringing him over. Hopefully he can get a WJC nod.

Popular Post Junkyard Dog
Through his first 10 games this season in the Liiga he has 1 goal, 4 assists with a -1 rating. He is also playing a ton, 20+ minutes. Even in a 8-2 loss he came out with an even rating. For perspective in his rookie season in the Liiga he went 20 games with no points and a -11 rating. He did play a lot better when he dropped down to the 2nd league. Quite the jump in play from a year. Whatever he did in the off-season has paid dividends. He’s starting to look like a good prospect. 1 1
joe-max
Considering his team (coached by Olli Jokinen btw) is last in the league, his -1 is quite impressive. He is also the 3rd best scorer on his team right now. Edited October 27, 2021 by joe-max

RogersTowell
I liked the Jurmo pick when it happened and it's nice to see he's developing strongly this year. Maybe next year he comes to Canucks training camp to evaluate where he stands.
