[Report] Canucks extend qualifying offers to 7 players

I'm a little surprised Jake Keilly got qualified but it's never a bad thing to have more goalie depth. Probably spending another year in the ECHL, if the ECHL plays.

 

No surprises about the folks who didn't get qualified besides Stecher.


At least by not qualifying Goldy, if he does want to make a North American return, he can do so anywhere he wants -- he was never gonna fit in with a Travis Green style of team.

I can't see how Barrie is that much of an upgrade. He's older, less physical, and will probably be more expensive.

I would say that you are right on all counts.

 

That doesn't mean that he doesn't want to be here and that Benning doesn't want him here.
