Holtby's stats:

second worst save percentage while 5v5 at 0.889

second worst goals saved above average -14.59

league worst high danger save percentage with 0.747

league worst high danger goals saved above average at -11.94

Cap hit of 4.3 M and salary due in 2021/2022 5.7M

was another bad signing from Jim Benning and his team.

He wasn’t great but our D was the worst in the NHL: 60.25 shot attempts per 60 minutes and 2.65 expected goals per 60 minutes at 5 on 5, both worst in the NHL. He was paid too much but should do better somewhere else. I have high hopes for Shaw improving our D structure.

New record for shortest tenure? Any comparables?  (Filter ... must have played at least 1 game - so excludes JVB who lasted 4 days)

Holtby's time in Vancouver was not good (to say the least)

Right from border crossing turtles and the mask fiasco,

To the icy staredown of JT Miller on a bad backcheck leading to a 4th goal

Best to move on

His number are worse then the defensive numbers.  And people think OEL will thrive, playing on a lesser defensive team but higher in the lineup???  Whatevs.

The whole team was bad, man.

No point in singling out individuals for the Covid year.  Brutal schedule with no practice to start the year.  Covid.  No practice and brutal schedule to end the year.

No surprise guys have bad stats.

Since Holtby signed with another team after being bought out, is our cap hit for him still relevant next year?

Yep, but only the buyout penalty part, not the entire cap hit.
