Maybe they need to shed Campbell's contract or are moving out Anderson with the intention of giving the net for Campbell. Friedman believes they want him to be their guy in a few years.

I think I just look at a team like Anaheim who don't have a backup signed would've taken a chance on Dell, or even St Louis with them having only have Ville Husso backing up Binnington.  Even teams like Buffalo, Chicago basically have AHL starters as their backups with shaky backup goalies as their starters could use the experience of Dell.

 

I guess its not horrible he signed in Toronto, just kinda odd considering there are some other spots for more opportunity.
