Yes, but Mac is to inexperienced or unqualified for this l3vel. It showed in the playoffs.

Leivo on the other hand before the injury had the qualities to push Loui out.

Whats funny is that when Loui  played we had a chance. Without him it seemed only Demko showed up.

Loui's good positionally but he wasn't going to be the answer to Vegas' forecheck.

Well, we don't know because he didn't get the chance. We know though that Horvat and Perason disappeared.

Because he has done nothing to earn another chance.  Complain about your boss to the media despite him giving you every chance possible to succeed and see how it works out for you.  LE is lucky he wasn't suspended without pay for conduct detrimental to the team.  How the hell do you justify icing a lazy piece of garbage when the rest of the team is playing hard for each other?  Letting LE continue to do disgrace the Canucks jersey would have sent a horrible message to the players who do care.

Jake has his own high priest for once... You'll be damned if you badmouth Virtanen.

About the young players coming up. It's on the coach. He has the power to put Loui in the press box and let the youngsters get experience. Why do you blame Loui for that?

I am new here and one thing I noticed is that if you say something bad about Benning and Green you get ridiculed.

This means criticism on management turn to criticism of players ..

Is it because HF have been a realky bad place or is it because we have paid lackeys here?

When you sign a contract like that, there's a mutual understanding that the player is expected to maintain a high level of performance through the bulk of the contract. He takes up a roster spot, where we should have a younger player developing. He takes up cap space, which we need to re-sign our RFA/UFAs, thus holding the team back. Not sure how that's a confusing concept. The honorable thing to do is terminate/retire.

Loui has played well in the position Green put him in.

The problem was at the start when they tried to make a large rink composition work on a small rink... Really bad and it's Bennings and coaches fault.

Is that why he was scratched often even under Green? Loui scored 30 the year before he signed here. Oh and he did it on an NHL size rink.

Under a different coach and linemates.

Take last year as an example. Green like his huffandpuffera so he prioritise player that run as fast as they can back and forth. Some players doesn't fit tyat system. Than you have to wait til the GM has handled that issue.

You, as a fan, doesn't treat your playera as garbage til then.

Let Benning do his job...

So? Positioning is gold against other players.

Mac was lost out there. Is that better?

did you watch the Vegas series? what positioning was going to help Loui getting crushed?

I like what Loui can contribute defensively but he would not have been able to handle Vegas forward group on his own, thats just ridiculous.

Well, the really big problem here is that Green made a bad decision to play an injuried Toffoli instead wich handicapped the line Toffoli played on.

that's true, he did choose that. Its theoretically possible that hurt us, but we were tied into the 3rd period of game 7. Loui can't score anymore, I'm sure we can agree on that. If Boeser makes that goal we might have won the series. I just don't believe Loui is the guy that breaks open that game.

apparently his he gets sent to the minors we save 2 million off the cap.

it's not worth it.

Well considering some people were suggesting Vancouver trades out Loui with 50% salary retention I think 2 million is fine actually

So Green likes players who aren't lazy pieces of garbage?  I'm shocked.  If LE wants to ever waste another minute of NHL icetime, he had better take a long took in the mirror and ask himself whether he's willing to put in the effort necessary.

We have a full roster of guys in Utica who are all better, hungrier players than useless sack of **** like LE.  The cap hit is a wash.

That’s 2 million we can use on a fresh player or form part of the upcoming big raises to Petey and Hughes. Considering we are in a flat cap era, we need every million now.

Love how it's everyones fault but Loui’s. Laughable at best. Give it up already.
