[Proposal] Eriksson+ for Colin Miller

You think those 3 will take up the $13.6M in cap space the Sabres currently have?

They still have 5 RD signed and only 12 fwds AFTER signing RFAs.

I'd still want JB to make this trade if he had to retain $2M on Loui to keep the cap hits the same.

Probably depends on what Reinhart gets (5 seasons of close to 50 point pace should earn him a raise); Olofsson should at least command a couple million in a bridge deal (let's say $2.5 million) for his role on Jack's wing, and Ullmark could still get $2.5 to $3 million (better save % and GAA than Georgiev who got $2.4 million yesterday before arbitration).

If Sam gets $5 to $5.5, Olofsson gets $2.5, Ullmark gets $3 that leaves $2.6 million and they'd still need a guy, even at minimum of $700k.  Who even knows either if they want to go all the way to the cap?

Finally, besides bias, if you were Kevyn Adams would you want Loui Eriksson?  I think that's the most important question.

God Eriksson proposals are getting less realistic each day.

Everyone wants to move Eriksson, the price is 1st plus. Even at this price, there may not even be a trading partner. No one wants to take on 6 mil of cap right now for a 1st round pick in the 20s.

Eriksson will be playing in the AHL next season for the Abbotsford Comets because of the Canucks playing in the Canadian division.

It will be useless to call players up from the farm in Utica if they have to quarantine for 14 days

unfortunately I think you're correct. Our only hope now is he really hates driving on the #1.

Adding a sweetner would just be compounding the mistake, already at many millions of dollars and the roster spot with who knows how many trades that were not done because of the lack of cap space.

Forget about the cap hit, think of him as a 800K 4th line and PK guy, he is okay at that. All next season and then
