We are the only country in the world that has the ability and capability to create nuclear weapons but hasn’t. Sure we would be kicked out of the international bros leagues. Thankfully, someone that mentally unstable would be unelectable here, making them a huge waste of money. Really the threat of nuclear deterrent is the only reason no one(country) tries that now. Generally resources Are plentiful enough everyone stays in their own lane. If when that balance is out of equilibrium this quiet period of global conflict will end and if you are resource rich you better be able to protect yourself.
