It was more a comment on how stacked Canada is.  He looks a tier lower than most of Canada's fwds.  He's still been the best Russian, aside from the goalie

Both teams look a little rusty, except Askarov. Russia might be a challenge this year, defence seems pretty tight against what's supposed to be the best offensive Team Canada of the last decade

and that is without Lafrenier  on the team

I thought Russia was to be less rusty having played more hockey, more than the Canadian players?

Go Canada go

Canada looked rusty, but I think that's how good this lineup is, they dominated a team of players who've mostly been playing for months now.

That's a pretty pointless prelim Sched... Like they just said they're 50-0-1 against those three...

Spread it out a bit damn... Canada does NOT need a bye.

Blame Switzerland for upsetting Sweden in Victoria.  The groups are done based on the previous year's results; it could be years before they're balanced again.

Teams are going to be more and more reluctant to send top prospects , especially sucks for the young kids who don't get any compensation at all.

Dach pushed hard to go though.  We probably won't get another tournament in the NHL off-season until the next lockout anyway.

Damn, that's rough.   Really looked like it wasn't much at all until the glove quickly came off....quite a blow.  Wish him a speedy recovery.

I know that reaction well.  He knew immediately he was done
