WAIVERS: Scott Harrington (NYR) has cleared waivers and been assigned to the minors.

I had thought we lost Scott Harrington on waivers, so I am happy to see this. Must have been thinking about Czarnik.

First we'd like to thank GM's @Crabby and @Sharpshooter for the awesome negotiations. Second, we'd like to thank the players leaving, for their time here in the Rockies. All have been integral parts to our past and current success and we wish them luck on their new clubs.

We're thrilled to welcome bag Big Z to COL! We targeted him in the offseason and couldn't make it work, so we did our best to get him here via trade and couldn't be happier to have him back and reunited with his old buddy McAvoy.

We also had our eye on Nino this offseason but couldn't make it work with Granlund on the payroll. So being able to add him, both improving as a team, while simultaneously moving out cap (not two things easily accomplished at the same time) was a no brainer, even if it unfortunately cost us the very promising young Jake Sanderson. We felt with K'andre Miller's stellar rookie season and Rathbone killing it in the minors, we could afford to make this move to shore up another area and better structure our cap allocation moving forward.

Speaking of cap! If you're looking to clear some and have an expiring playoff bound F that might fit in our bottom 6, we're happy to take some of that on for you :)

Otherwise, without further ado, our updated roster:

The Florida Panthers realized it was time to retool and rebuild and it was not fair to our top end players on NHL playoff bound teams to miss a chance at winning a championship. We would like to thank Wayne Simmonds for his great play and dedication to our organization and we wish him the best of luck in Washington In addition,  I would like to thank @da.moose for his professionalism during our negotiation.

We are excited for what Dylan Samberg can bring to the team in the near future

Appreciate the processing, also the transaction @Ty Webb

In our current structure? We felt we would lose Alex to green tentacled leeches at the end of the year. Did not really want to lose this player. Hopefully it gives him an opportunity. This was really about ED.

Mike gives us a 3 goalie rotation, to help us through Covid. A veteran we felt necessary, our other goalies had roughly 40 games between them. And maybe an improvement on this years post season outlook. Our chances to get there!

Igor Shesterkin, Vitek Vanacek, Mike Smith > we have also had lots of calls...

I imagine you said yes pretty quickly?

Not just Edmonton doin a rump shake to acquire players.

That said; @aGENT for GMOTY.  Really has a powerful line up crafted by his deals!

It seems a lot of GM's viewed Granlund's contract as, if not an outright liability, at the very least a risk and/or of diminishing value. Plus risk of where he ends up next year.

Had to pony up to cut that cap hit in half AND double pool point production while adding a player on a stable playoff team.

Besides, we hope to make that pick 31st overall ;)
