Montreal is in a do or die situation as they playoff hopes seem to be fading. Despite holding their own this past week the team still remains 140 points back which seems an almost impossible feat this late into the season. The Sharks have largely sealed the fate of the blues who sold assets at the trade deadline. In the Central things have gotten interesting very fast with Columbus vaulting up the standings passing both Tampa and Chicago. The race in the Central is way too close to call at this point. The Islander retook the final playoff spot in the East as the teams continue to swap positions as we lead up to a very important final few games in the schedule.

Standing movement:

CBJ passes TBL & CHI for 3rd in the Central.

NYI passed BUF for 4th in the East.

Playoff race points gap:

North: 140 PT gap between CGY/MTL

West: 153 PT gap between SJ/STL

Central: 19 PT gap between CHI/TBL

East: 52 PT gap between NYI/BUF

Think that's accurate. If you see an error, let me know. cheers :D.

Drama brewing in Columbus as team mates get into full blown fist fight on the ice

How are you going to handle this issue @Rush17?

A little healthy competition isn't a bad thing. We encourage our players to play with emotions on their sleeves. Just a little dust up in practice - nothing we haven't seen before. We appreciate Dylan showing that passion and willingness to stand up for a fellow teammate!

I loved it when I had a load of bottom end guys who liked to goon it up, and two of them went at each other on any given night. POints! them's fourth line points!!!

I suppose that's a fair expectation given my trader gm rep lol. I'm likely not to move anyone on my protection list tho unless it's a clear upgrade. Expansion eligible guys definitely could be considerations for some late picks lol. We shall see. :P

I love how much my list has changed since the Summer
