Same as NHL. Either: - 7 forwards, 3 defencemen and 1 goalie, or; - 8 skaters (any position) and 1 goalie. Edit: Fun fact, every teams chart has an expansion draft tab at the bottom. Mouse over the cell that says Protected Players and it gives you the rundown. These charts will be used as the expansion draft nears.
