Many stories from the heart here. We live in troubled times. This is not unique to history. What we have drifted away from is the strength of family and the positive reinforcement that all people crave. I write this listening to Nat King Cole's Christmas songs. I might be dating myself but I remember listening to him as a kid. His music is spinning off so many fond memories of years ago. There is a timeless presence of fond mermories. So I will try and pass that down to my grand children this Christmas. i went and saw nat in vancouver. it was his last tour before he died. he kept singing, long after his time had ended, he said at the prices they charge, he wanted us to get our monies worth. he was wonderful. we also went and saw bobby darin, wayne newton and sammy davis jr. in a way these stories make up for the stories i’ll never know from my father and mother, and grandparents. hockey is great, but it is only a sport. people are more important. even the animals that deb is so concerned about. during the silly season, why not share?
