Like I said you have until June, yes staggering the process might have been better. Shows you I guess that everyone hates Socialism, until they need help from Government.

I don't hate the program, its good. I just didn't like Horgan blaming his staff.

I think it’s a fair critique.

If you’re awarded a third party contract  or given a job by those who already work for the province, you need to be able to either say you can’t support the volume or deliver on your assurance.

If I was a business owner that contracted or asked my IT employees whether or not my new business sign up can handle a mass sign up, I’d expect them to tell me the truth or give alternate ways to ensure that people can smoothly sign up(staggered sign up).

Might have ben easier to just tell people to knock $500 off their income tax, as that is almost due anyway.

No need to set up an entire program/office etc.

good idea as well.

If we're fixing the program, I would have cut eligibility off somewhere around 80k per family or so and bumped it up to something more significant than $500 per person.

did mine online, took a couple of minutes.

Got a bit concerned when I hit submit and the next page was basically the start page again.

Anyone know how long it is supposed to be before we see the money?

Best guess....50/50 not before the end of the year.   Who knows?

I hadn’t heard that part of your post. I’m sure most folks will prefer the money, over a cut in the PST.

Especially poorer folks as the people who are well off and buying the most stuff would save the most with a PST cut. This handout is geared to people who need it the most.
As far as I am concerned consumption taxes are by far the fairest form of taxation.
