UKNuck96
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-55478521 this one could be the game changer. - doesn’t have the reaction issue the Pfizer one has had (on about 5 people) but can be stored at room temperature and can be transported and stored easily. This is probably the one that gets the widest use globally and especially in getting to hard to reach areas. also would be good to help bring the vaccine to the people than the people have to go to the vaccine. (Is wouldn’t need specialist storing facilities) so could have vaccinations done at schools and local community centres and even have the most vulnerable vaccinated in their own home. also cost wise it’s a game changer as well especially for poorer nations. Below is the list of prices the EU is paying for vaccines Oxford/AstraZeneca: €1.78 (£1.61). Johnson & Johnson: $8.50 (£6.30). Sanofi/GSK: €7.56. Pfizer/BioNTech: €12. CureVac: €10. Moderna: $18. Sad that he's passed away, horrible for his wife and kids. Cynical me is curious about what his behaviour was prior to infection - he's a Republican, was he taking any precautions or not so much? Probably an assumption based on the fact he was young and looks healthy enough? Also, the correct assumption, Luke Letlow, with no underlying conditions, is one of few Louisiana coronavirus victims in 40s https://www.nola.com/news/coronavirus/article_11ade19a-4a5b-11eb-a01f-637366494232.html Edited December 30, 2020 by bishopshodan 1 3

I think those two failed to understand the word probably. Probably is used when you think something will happen or turn out to be true, but you're not certain enough to say it definitely will. 3

-DLC-
I like that our numbers are trending downward, however, feel it's likely more attributed to less testing over the holidays than less COVID. Just my gut reaction to seeing the drops. Yep...just went and checked it out: Quote But the number of tests done over those five days dropped by around 50 per cent compared to the same period in the previous week. Just 4,675 tests were completed in the last 24 hours, compared to 8,515 on Dec. 22. Edited December 30, 2020 by debluvscanucks 1

If you care about your friends, you don't see them right now. Because all it takes is one asymptomatic carrier to ruin the whole party and some. 2 1

I just ost my father in law on Monday and we've spent two days in my mother in laws house.........it's a gathering and we understand that, but we've stayed masked the whole time. It's the best we could do, but we've been cognizant of it the whole time. Such a strange situation to be in.

That's the exception to the rule...where it's an unavoidable "gathering" under extreme circumstances. I, too, am sorry for your loss and how difficult it must be during these restrictions. My condolences to your family. When I go to Dad's, I always wear a mask despite him saying "oh, you don't have to". Yes I do. And I social distance and stay for minimal periods because it's just how it has to be right now....no matter how tough. The alternative would be much tougher. 1
