The authoritarians around here won't appreciate that but I don't really care. That's the attitude that's keeping this thing going in the wrong direction. I, too, am sorry for your loss and how difficult it must be during these restrictions. My condolences to your family. When I go to Dad's, I always wear a mask despite him saying "oh, you don't have to". Yes I do. And I social distance and stay for minimal periods because it's just how it has to be right now....no matter how tough. The alternative would be much tougher. I had my mask on for 17 hours on monday, save for a few mins to eat and drink

They're NOT allowing people to mingle....which is why they'll likely take stricter measures in the near future. Because when some people are given an inch, they take a mile. They keep TRYING to give us something but people will use excuses to bend the rules and make their own. I wouldn't brag about it or defiantly start name calling those who are making different decisions than you are. 2

It's like a slap in the face to those of us who are protecting very vulnerable family members. It's one thing to go ahead and ignore the restrictions in place....it's another to call others out as you brag and boast about it. That's uncalled for. You want to be a fool and take chances because you eat your greens? Fine. But don't troll others...it's really unacceptable. Those who feel they're invincible may learn the hard way that this thing could strike any of us at any time if we're not careful. Asymptomatic means those we gather with may share more than the love at our parties...which is why FH ran rampant and spiked so drastically. Family gatherings. When my son was born he was in an oxygen tent...he has asthma, like his father (who has a severe case of it) and has had pneumonia twice in the recent past. I also nearly lost my Father awhile ago. So those who want to party and call the rest of us authoritarians need not bother. Because it's stirring the pot and is very unwelcome and I really don't care how much you play with fire....just don't burn down the neighbourhood. Have some sensitivity. While you gather the rest of us would love to too....but we're not willing to play with people's lives like that, that's all. Humanitarian, not authoritarian. 1 1

Just awfully sad news for a man in the prime of his life, and his family. The virus continues to cut a swathe through the US, and many other countries also. You reap what you sow it seems. Popular Post bishopshodan
Edwards was supposed to fight Chimaev on Dec 19 Leading up to the fight Edwards contracted Covid and had a hell of a battle, losing 12 pounds. They re-scheduled the fight for Jan 20th. Now his opponent Chimaev, one of the hottest new UFC prospects, is suffering from a lingering lung issue due to Covid so obviously the fight is cancelled again. But the young and healthy are fine with this virus....right? I mean, these are some of the most in-shape athletes on the planet. https://www.lowkickmma.com/khamzat-chimaev-deemed-unfit-to-fight-leon-edwards-due-to-lung-issue/ 2 3 1

Steve Addison said in a news release. “He made clear that he has no plans to stop, so our officers obtained an arrest warrant and he spent Christmas in jail.” The man was released on Boxing Day and has several bail conditions, including that he must open the door when police knock and that he’s only permitted to host two individuals at his apartment, which people living alone are allowed to do. He’s now facing charges for his alleged public health order violations. 2 2

After mapping the hearts of 26 Ohio State University athletes using a process known as cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), researchers found that not only 15% of students exhibited the rare heart condition but 30% showed cellular damage....(cont'd) I'd rather have heartbreak over one missed holiday season than I would heart damage, quite possibly for a lifetime. 3 1

I don't understand why anyone attributes the wearing of a mask as having any negative effect on the economy. The wearing of masks has been very common for people in many Asian countries long before Covid-19 came along. The greatest harm to the US economy is the allowing of the virus to get so far out of control.
