kingofsurrey 8,357
Company's say 4 week between shots is recommended and research has supported..... so BC a says 4 months between is the way to go... Really ????? The United States must stick to a two-dose strategy for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, top U.S. infectious disease official Anthony Fauci told the Washington Post. Fauci said that delaying a second dose to inoculate more Americans creates risks. COVID-19 has claimed more than half a million lives in the United States, and states are clamouring for more doses to stem cases, hospitalizations and deaths. But Fauci warned that shifting to a single-dose strategy for the vaccines could leave people less protected, enable variants to spread and possibly boost skepticism among Americans already hesitant to get the shots. bishopshodan 10,574
I follow MMA pretty closely. It has some real examples of Covid long haul issues amongst the worlds top athletes. One of those affected is potentially the hottest new comer the sport has seen. He is now getting political pressure from this awful dictator. Poor kid. Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov pressures Khamzat Chimaev out of retirement despite COVID-19 complications https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2021/3/2/22309862/chechen-dictator-ramzan-kadyrov-khamzat-chimaev-retirement-coronavirus-politics-chechnya-news

Bad enough Texas is going to spike due to all those storm folk huddling up to stay warm; now they can have an additional spike from people going clubbing, in the areas that have electricity.
gurn 11,878
https://www.covid-19canada.com/ US 530,440 deaths 8,922,767 current cases @ 1.8% mortality = 160,609.8 potential deaths = about 691,049 expected deaths Canada 22,084 deaths 30,252 current @ 2.5% mortality = 756.3 potential deaths = about 31,008 expected deaths That's if not another single person in either country gets covid. With Texas and Mississipi? lifting all restriction, according to the above story, Not trending well for the future. Also worrying is a media report that about 1/3 of Americans are likely not to get a vacinne. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/538198-over-30-percent-of-americans-say-they-wont-get-covid-19-vaccine-poll Leaving around 100 million unvaccinated people. 1

With Biden saying there will be enough vaccines for every American to get theirs by May. If 100 million don't want it, send it here. I play around with the stats on the worldmeter site. One thing I have noticed about the American current case number is, it doesn't make sense. The 8,922,000 number. For instance California has had 3.6m total cases. 50k died, 1.9m recovered, and 1.6m still active. Arizona 800K total cases, 16k dead, 115k recovered, and 690k active. Then some states seem to do it properly? Ohio, 970K total cases, 17K dead, 915K recovered, and 38K active. Their real current case number is probably under 1 million, based on their daily cases being around 50k-75K the last couple of weeks. Our value of 30,252 is basically the last 11-12 days of cases. All the deaths on Monday are announce on Monday, but the recovered are announced on Tues, because they were no longer sick on Monday? A math expert could probably enlighten us. Jaimito 8,184
NACI now recommends 4 months interval between dose 1 and 2 after a review of available data. "approximately 80% of the eligible population (16 years of age and over) could be offered a dose of mRNA vaccine by the end of June 2021 if a four month interval is implemented in March 2021." It looks like some states just aren't updating their recovered numbers. Like the Arizona example. They have had 800,000 cases total since this all started. They still show 690,000 of those cases are still active cases. 2 hours ago, Jaimito said: NACI now recommends 4 months interval between dose 1 and 2 after a review of available data. CBH1926 6,787
My mom and my wife received their 2nd Pfizer vaccine, thus far no major side effects. The only one was with my mom who had soreness in her arm and some minor stomach issues. She does suffer from Chron’s disease so all types of medicine upset her stomach.
