They went back to their stage 1 at the beginning of the month.  Still getting 2000 a day.

Thank you, I didn't hear that. My cousin same age (73) just got his first vaccination a few days ago. I don't know if that was his choice, or the situation in Alberta with vaccine doses available.

Hopefully Canada will follow the UK or Israel curve.

UK is the most similar in roll out, maximize one dose first (3 months interval). Now about 51% vaccinated with one dose. Israel had lot of doses available and is a small country. 62% at least one dose.

US went with 3-4 weeks interval and had lots of vaccines.  About 43% now.  But the baseline is still too high.  36,000 cases, 600-700 deaths per day.

Canada around 32% now.

For those calling for tougher measure this is what Australia has done

Australian citizens returning home from India could face up to five years in jail and fines after the government made the journey temporarily illegal.

The health ministry said the ruling had been made "based on the proportion of people in quarantine who have acquired a Covid-19 infection in India".

Earlier this week, Australia banned all flights from India.

There are an estimated 9,000 Australians in India, 600 of whom are classed as vulnerable.

Also UK is now on 40+ with the view that in about 10 days should be sending out the invites for the 30+ Groups

Haven't read the replies to his tweets today but wonder how many people are complaining "need more testing!!!  We need to test every person every day no matter what!!!!" when people are out and about less and less with restrictions/shutdowns.  Honestly does logic not even factor in to some of these people, way less chance of catching it when you are restricted the hell out and don't get to do anything.

This is just showing the vaccinations are working, and so are some of the shutdowns (eventhough I don't agree with destroying peoples lives and livelyhoods with all the shutdowns).  Hopefully we can get this into the 600s in the next few weeks and continue the drop for the 7 day average and get some life back after May long weekend.

I think we're doing fine on the rollout now and it's going to get even better soon. At least that's what I've seen in the smaller provinces. We're getting there and now that we've figured it out it's going to be done soon. We just need more product, which is coming. It's the young population that will determine if this is a success or not.
