WHY do

BC residents have restrictions while
Yet International Flights continue?
Just yesterday i saw driving on side streets plates from Washington and Alberta and RV Trailers driving?

SO You try to keep BC Residents locked up, while allowing everyone else to do as they please in BC?

Airports and all border crossings are Federal responsibilty.

A social media post from an account linked to the Chinese Communist Party has sparked controversy for appearing to mock India over its coronavirus crisis.

The post on Chinese site Weibo showed an image of a rocket launch in China alongside a photo of the bodies of Covid victims being cremated in India.

Text with it read: "Lighting a fire in China VS lighting a fire in India."

The post, which appeared on Saturday afternoon, has since been deleted.

It was reportedly published by an account belonging to an official Chinese law enforcement agency - the Communist Party's Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission - which has millions of followers on Weibo, a popular microblogging site in the country.

Users responding to the post, which was later shared using screenshots of the original, wrote that it was "inappropriate" and that China "should express sympathy for India".

Hu Xijin, the editor-in-chief of China's Global Times media outlet, wrote: "Hold high the banner of humanitarianism at this time, show sympathy for India, and firmly place Chinese society on a moral high ground."

Just putting this thought out there, once say, 75-80% of the general population is fully vaccinated, would it not make sense to go for one more 2-3 week lockdown to really make an effort to fully eradicate covid?

Admittedly, I'm not an infectious disease expert, but my understanding from literature is that this is essentially impossible (total eradication of the virus).  'Technically' it could be done, but realistically it will likely be in society for a long, long, time.

This article explains the issues with eradication fairly well I believe:

I'm curious as to how they're going to make it fraud-proof though.

you can use things like the BC Services Card app, e.g. You have to submit a video and personal info that gets reviewed prior to approval. From that app you can show your vaccination record to anyone you want to from your phone.

Yes, but unfortunately I'm hearing from work colleagues that there's a long online queue to book your appointments.

My friend in TO went online today and got one booked for tomorrow.

Yup.  Pretty easy to set up.  Got all my flu shots that I've had going back a few years on there as well as my Covid test I got a few months back when I had a cold.

Nothing is fraud proof - same as idiot proof nothing is. You can spend a lot of time and money trying to get to a certain level of quality for not major benefit.

Needs to be fit for purpose and not easily bypassed by the lay person. People who go to extremes to then make an fraudulent version would be the same people that would find holes in others areas to let them do what they want.

yeah it was a bit weird seeing the full list of things on there, I forgot a bunch of it. It even has a note in there when to expect being called for a 2nd shot.

The 1 million Moderna doses will arrive tomorrow, instead next. Plus 2 million Pfizer this week. 3 million total this week.

Procurement minister Anita said today they exist 655,000 AZ from covax in next few weeks. 1 million AZ in June.

Updated national # as of yesterday.

Of course, the vile CCP that brought this pandemic to the rest of the world would mock a neighboring country's suffering due to it.

Hopefully once the worst of this horrible pandemic passes, the governments of the world remember how Jinping and his disgusting political party acted, including failing to warn other countries of the impending danger. Even going as far as silencing Chinese citizens (shocker!) who attempted to let others know.

Yeah, it’s amazing how well China has done during this pandemic, or at least that is what they are telling us.

But they sure &^@#ed up the rest of us, I don’t think this should be forgotten.

Especially how CCP has acted during this crisis.
