The Canadian convoy page is claiming the convoys that arrived in parliament hill were 133,000 trucks and 2.3 million(which I believed was extremely high) from across the country converged on parliament hill. My cousin who works there(you obviously are more of a parliament hill expert than anyone who’s worked there over 2 decades). Said that the numbers looked very similar maybe slightly bigger than the Canada day celebrations of years past. Usually 1 million people attend those.

You can’t fit 50,000 trucks in the downtown core of Ottawa let alone 133,000.

This is from The Ottawa Citizen from Jan 29.........

"Downtown Ottawa was gridlocked all day Saturday by one of the loudest, boisterous, most free-wheeling demonstrations ever to overrun Parliament Hill.

Thousands braved the bitter cold to mainly protest vaccine mandates across Canada, led by a convoy of truckers who took over Wellington Street for blocks, honking horns ceaselessly and decrying Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at every turn.

The size of the crowd was difficult to estimate as people kept coming and leaving all day, but easily numbered in the 10,000 range (based on the capacity of the Parliament Hill lawn)."

Please calibrate your BS meter.

The Ottawa Citizen is a noted Communist mouthpiece.  Of course they would lie about the numbers.

.

.

The paper has actually endorsed the Cons in at least the last half dozen Federal elections.

Gives us some trash information,  yet still won't provide us with a link to his source.  I mean, we have photographic evidence of both the Freedumb protest and pre-covid Canada Day celebrations to compare. I would love to see photos that demonstrate the protest crowd far exceeds typical Canada Day celebrations.   From what's been posted here previously, the opposite is the case.

Go on believing the peddlers of nonsense that is the Freedumb Convoy leadership.   They are totally telling the truth.   /s

Are you comparing the Ottawa Citizen to that bastion of journalistic integrity, the Canadian convoy webpage?

Like the Albertan Conservative Party.  When the Cons are right wing enough, you need something like the Wildrose Party (now the United Conservative Party).

I still cannot believe someone could actually be gullible enough to believe up to 2.3 million people descended upon Ottawa in the dead of winter no less to protest vaccine mandates when approx 85% of the country is vaccinated.

Especially when the source of the information is the Trucker Convoy webpage.

How high would this number have to be before this person questioned what he was being told? 5 million? 10 million? 20 Bajillion?

this is a pattern with all the alt-right BS. Say whatever, even if its impossible, who cares as long as I feels good? Anyone thats visited Ottawa knows how dumb the idea of 50,000 trucks is. But my cousin

I think it began with Trumps embarrassing turn out for his inauguration, it seems to have empowered fake numbers for rallies, etc.

I actually think they do this just to keep people talking. The more we're talking about something dumb the less time they figure we spend on important things.

" If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

This quote is attributed to Joseph Goebbels.

I believe that many people are truly unaware how strong confirmation bias is, in today's world.

On Both sides of any topic.
