And yet many peoples life are harder now with higher energy prices. People working for 15 an hour. I rather have less pressure making enough money to live a quality life

Here's a question for you:

How many pipelines that were carrying Canadian oil before Biden was elected, are no longer carrying that oil?

The 'everyone is a Nazi' argument also only works to build CPC support.

So that combined with the crushing info policing going on leading to mass street-level protests?

Woof, hard to see them losing the next election.

They shouldn't have lost the last one either but they keep running unelectable muppets.

Do you really think this 42 year old nerd is the saviour?

This will be their third attempt to try & defeat pretty boy (I don't count Harper as even 100 year old John Turner might've won that election).

So trump was all for increasing supply of it and it was just a coincidence that our gas was cheap until Biden took office. Ok

There was something else really big that took place around that time.....see if you can figure out was it is.....

You literally said "disprove me", so I did.  Not surprisingly you attempt to move the goalposts.  Like, seriously, do you guys get a morning briefing on talking points or something?

Pretty sure it's right after milk and cookies, but before nap time....

Some good points being made on both sides.  Although I do believe that some 'arguments' were more valid than others 3-6 months ago.  As such, they have been rendered somewhat ineffective/confusing as the situation has evolved.  I am referring to certain mandates, which clearly aren't being followed seriously anymore or the more egregious travel mandates/restrictions which are currently front and center in the news and in many conversations happening around the globe.

Letting 'er rip as some would say is probably the not the safest way forward but some would say it is the most practical.  The answer is most likely something in-between that and lockdowns because at this point the government stands to lose serious face (and certain hardliners) if they just 180 and let things drop, there is pride and politics to consider (we can see it in this very thread).

The equitable way forward has to involve a compromise between those in power and the disenfranchised that would allow both to go home knowing that they've both pulled on the same rope and did the right thing.  The way backward could be any number of things.

Either way it will be very interesting to observe.
