But I didn't feel different," he said at a White House press briefing. "I've always known, this is a real -- this is a real -- this is a pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. All you had to do was look at other countries...no, I've always viewed it as very serious. It was no difference yesterday from days before. I feel the tone is similar, but some people said it wasn't." Sounds like he's taking it serious - that was 13 days ago... And then, Trump being Trump, followed that up by later saying he wanted churches to be packed full on Easter and and accused governors and hospitals of lying about how much PPE and ventilators would be needed. So no, the dip$&!# wasn't really taking it seriously then. 1

If you believe Trump's words I have a bridge to sell you. You could go back in time and find Trump calling the pandemic a huge problem... or not a problem at all... or one that could be solved be Easter... or one that could be solved by taking drugs that nobody had identified as clinically useful for fighting COVID (and then people dying from it). The issue is that Trump changes his opinion. Changing opinions is a great quality when you do so in light of new information. But Trump doesn't change his opinion in light of new facts. He changes his opinion when it suits him and then he lies about having changed his opinion. This has been documented over and over again; Just looked at the fact-checking by Daniel Dale. The problem is, that was about the time he started taking it seriously. Prior to that he was actively downplaying the severity of the outbreak and his words influenced the actions of thousands, if not millions of US citizens and will almost certainly result in fatalities when all is said and done. That is precisely the reason Trump is being "raked over the coals", while Trudeau is not. I don't understand why this is so hard for you to understand.

And a month or so ago, that idiot believed that the virus would disappear by spring. Like magic, I believe he said. Please do tell what world leaders are choosing to make the situation political? Who is calling out their opposition, the media and making grossly incorrect and incompetent statements? Trudeau? Macron? Merkel? Putin?

Then it was the Dems fault (and still is). Then it we moved the end of quarantine to Easter. Now it's end of the month.
Popular Post The Lock
lol @Heretic Sorry buddy, but I think you provided the wrong piece of evidence to "support Trump". I'm legitimately shocked anyone would try and use a Trump tweet as proof of anything. Thanks for the laugh though and I hope you really understand why Trump's really taken perhaps the worst reputation hit of his career over this pandemic. 4
