Over 60% of it was that crazy 3-year deal the Flames gave him in 2014. Nice depth guy to have, and obviously a good guy in the room...but still. 

 

That's essentially what Canucks did with Beagle though. Over half of his career earnings will be the 4-year deal we gave him.

Could you imagine the pure ecstasy on these forums if he did? It would be embarrassing for the team and fanbase how hard the celebrations for a player retiring would be.

 

I wouldn't be embarrassed however - the guy cashed in on our team and hasn't shown he's anything other than an aged, slow, only-defensive, perimeter player.
