EP Phone Home
Must be nice with that state tax. Super envious that Tampa can keep giving out amazing deals. Good for the bolts for keeping this kid so cheap for 3 years. 2

Master Mind
Good for Cernak, he's been an underrated player since being acquired. Hopefully this means we see a trade very soon.

Warhippy
Kids an absolute gamer and deals like this are what will keep the Bolts competitive. Always enjoyed the idea of somehow poaching him and have wanted Foote since before his draft year. Now we'll never see them out west

Provost
I guess this means Kucherov is out for a while to give them LTIR room?
rekker
Cue the bleeding hearts defending the tax free states as having no advantage. Complete BS that tax free teams can build their teams at percentage points cheaper than others. How is this a level playing field. 1 1

kesler_sedins
Now the lightning have $3,345,834 left to re-sign Cirelli (with Kucherov on LTIR)
VancouverHabitant
Even with the tax break, this would only equal to 3.5 mil/year max for another team. People that think that Hughes will GET anything above 6 mil/year are out to lunch. Yes he DESERVES more but given all that’s happened, $14 mil will get us both Elias and Hughes signed. They are also near the salary cap for next year with only 15 players under contract. They still have a lot of work to do to be cap compliant.

I think both Hughes and Pettersson sign bridge deals next summer. About 6.5 million per season for Hughes, about 7 - 7.5 for Elias, 2 - 3 year term maximum. With the league in a flat cap, I think both players will punt and hope that things turn around so that they can sign for 10+, in 2 or 3 years.

I put it through on NHL 21 and it worked. You DO know Eriksson is a 36-goal scorer right? 1
