We could have McKeown here now if that bone headed Benning hadn't traded that pick!

If we kept the draft pick and drafted McKeown, the fanbase would say could've taken Montour or Dvorak instead of McKeown :frantic:

He is on waivers so why not grab him now then?

He is playing for Skelleftea in the SHL - he got there this month and might not have an out-clause.

We also have loads of young, depth bubble D in Joulevi, Rathbone, Rafferty, Brisebois, Chatfield, Sautner as well as Benn as a depth guy and the possibility of Hamonic still coming. No room at the inn.

we 'shoulda' got Montour instead.

  (that's me looking out of the hair I used to have on the back of my head....)

(but realistically, was disappointed when he re-signed in Buffalo - however at 3.85, not really an option for us regardless....)

We could have McKeown here now anyway, should should claim if that bone headed Benning hadn't traded that pick proving JB got a free ''fill in'' asset in Lindon Vey as the jedi master he is at asset management? :bigblush:

Benning is doing just fine...Thanks for your negative input.....Not all picks turn out, every GM makes good and bad trades....Benning has done a fine job very exciting team with lots of great project and the 2 best players are  21 and 22..

He is actually what I would call a Benning type of pick up at this point in his career. Could help fill the spot in Utica that Rafferty or Chatfield had. Assuming one of them makes the Canucks team.

We have to play any waiver pick up on the NHL roster. We would have to put him on waivers again, to send him to Utica.
