kilgore
Seems like the World Juniors have regressed in time. Canada and Russia are the top rated teams. But also, the second tier of hockey countries are back to losing in double digits to the stronger countries again. I guess COVID had something to do with it, especially Germany. But I thought other countries may be closer now, and it seems they are further back again.

The question is, are the weaker teams regressing or are the top tier teams finding a new level (i.e. progressing faster). I guess it's always some of each but how much? Go Canucks Prospects Go! P.S. Don't forget to include Sweden and the US in the top tier. Just because they have loses doesn't mean that they still can't win it all. Maybe even Finland. Oh yes, I'd put Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden, and Finland as the top tier. Maybe that's it. The top tier teams have gotten better. Also, I thought after I posted, that COVID works out well for countries with great prospects on NHL teams. Who may have been playing for the big club already and wouldn't be available otherwise. Having 20 1st rounders helps.
