Apologies to all, I had taken a bit of a break from this however I'm back now and ready to get things going for the season.

First order of business, an update to our Important Dates section for all GMs to see:

Quote

September 1 - First day to designate players for "ELC Slides"

September 1 - First day to attempt to re-sign 1 UFA and 1 RFA

September 14 - Start of 2 week buyout period

September 28 - End of 2 week buyout period

October 10 - All players waiver eligible in minors will automatically be placed on waivers

October 11 - All teams must be cap and roster compliant compliant

October 11 - Last day to submit 3 players for ELC slides

January 1 - Re-signing opens up for all players

January 1 - Three team NTC/NMC lists can be requested (requested only once until the next period)

March 21 - Trade deadline at 10:00 PM PST

March 21 - Last day to sign any unsigned free agents (NHL/AHL/CHL/Europe) until July 1st

April 1 - Three team NTC/NMC lists can be requested (requested only once until the next period)

May 1 - Unsigned 2019 draft prospects become UFAs or re-enter draft (whichever applicable)

Beginning of Conference Finals - Start of CDCFL Entry Draft

? - End of CDCFL Entry Draft

? - Start of 2 week buyout period

June 15 - Last day to trade pending UFA rights

June 22 - Last day to send in re-sign offers

June 22 - Last day to qualify RFAs

June 26 - First day to send in free agent offers

? - End of 2 week buyout period

July 1 - First day of free agent signings

As you can see, the first day to designate players for ELC slides has already passed. I have extended the deadline for the last day to place players on the ELC slide as well as the last day to be both cap and roster compliant to October 11th. The season begins on October 12, and it makes sense to give GMs as much time as possible to make decisions. Additionally, all players that are in the minors but waiver eligible will be automatically waived by the league on October 10th, giving claimed players the time to make their way onto NHL rosters for the start of the season.

I am going to take a look at all my PMs now, signings will be posted sometime this weekend. Please note at this point of the offseason, many players will be accepting the best offer that they have received, and minimal negotiations will take place. We have multiple teams that do not have enough players on their active roster still, so please look to rectify this as soon as possible.

ASSIGNMENTS:

NJ terminates the contract of Nikita Tryamkin. Signed in KHL

NJ terminates the contract of  Denis Malgin. Signed in Swiss

NJ assigns Jayce Hawryluk to the AHL.

NJ recalls Patrick Nemeth to the NHL.

NJ recalls Mikhail Maltsev to the NHL.

There were rumours Malgin had signed in the Swiss for 4 more years. It appears to be the case as he has now played 3 games in the Swiss league.

We would like to terminate the contract of Malgin if possible. We can wait for a more official source to list if it required.

Your Vancouver Canucks are only two weeks away from a Preseason Tilt with none other than our newest

nemesis, the Seattle Kraken!  Back in the saddle for another season, we will be posting Summer recaps and

Roster depth as we pencil it in before camp opens up. I don't envision a whirl of trades as we did our work

early at the end of the last season and generally speaking, the club is set on its course now with our standing

rebuild pretty much completed. Camp has a way of making plans obsolete however, so we won't rule out the

odd trade before opening night. Good luck to all my fellow GM's and good health to every player both in the NHL

and on CDC as we ramp up for 82 games in the 21-22 CDC FL season!!
