We have a trade to announce...

To MIN - Tyler Seguin, Artem Zub

To TBL - Adam Lowry, Cody Ceci, Brady Skjei, Aiden Dudas

Thanks to @Canuck Surfer for some fun negotiation. This went back a couple weeks as we tossed ideas back and forth. Finally we settled for this deal.

Tough to deal Tyler before he even had a chance to suit up for the Lightning, but with our success this season and now injuries hitting us, we felt this was a necessary and good deal for us going forward, especially the way the Stars have looked this year this far. We welcome Brady, Adam and Cody to the team as well as prospect Aiden. We hope that the 3 main players will make an impact and help.in making a run to the finals. We also hope to have them be bigger parts of our future as well given their age. Aiden will also be fun to monitor as he development progresses

Good like to Tyler and Artem, who has been great in our Blueline this year. We wish them and CS nothing but the best

Cheers it was fun & Good luck Tampa! Thanks also Nail/

Big risk us taking on Seguin? Coming off injury and a big contract.  If it works out?  We will be hard to beat down the middle!

What free agent would not want to play for the Wild?

On a secondary note Minny looking for D suddenly!

We haven't done this at all this year, so here's our first rendition! Stats are as of this morning in Pickup, and positions are based off of what Pickup says!

Vancouver is happy to note Anze Kopitar is not far off the pace set by 5th place in the league Centermen: Nathan Mackinnon, while Semyon Varlamov just missed the list for tendies, and Jeff Petry is only 23 poitns out of 5th for Dmen. Jason Robertson is quietly building a case for consideration as rookie of the year and the final 20 games of the season may be the deciding factor there. Vancouver is working on the possibility of 60th overall draftee Shane Pinto joining the club for the back nine THIS season, as well. Recent additions Givani Smith and Derek Grant have already made points contributions in just one night of action in the Orca Sweater, and recent call up Adin Hill has already put up 50 points since the 26th of March. A well rounded squad that started slower than we would have liked, but we have the talent to hang in there and perhaps pull off a comeback upset  for the 4th coveted playoff berth in the North.

All signs point to a photo finish, we hope, for a chance at the Scotia North playoff bubble. Stay Tuned, I have no desire to miss the playoffs this year.

Canucks Report

Prospect Signing Edition:

As mentioned earlier, Shane Pinto is impressing out of the NCAA and about to make his NHL debut in about a weeks time, but we are also about to ink fellow 2019's draftee's Nathan Legare, 53rd overall 2019, and Adam Beckman, 82nd overall 2019 to their ELC's as well. Wyatt Kaiser, 100th overall 2020 rounds out our unsigned prospects however we have another full year to make up our minds on Wyatt, it is comforting at this stage all signs point to go!

Nathan Legare: the former Baie-Comeau Captain was traded to the Val D'or Foreurs after 14 games this year and went on to put up 24 points in 19 games while securing a playoff Bye for VDO. He peppars the highlight reel of their final regular season game which speaks volumes so that I don't have to.

Adam Beckman: 3 points in his first 7 games in the AHL preceded his return to the WHL when they finally got their season rolling. Now with 5 points in 7 games in the DUB Beckman will try to duplicate or better his last year totals of 107 points in 63 games. A surprising feat for the 82nd overall selection of 2019, as he led the DUB in scoring just one year ago!!

Quote

March 2021- After a solid showing at the AHL level, Adam Beckman is back to being too good for this WHL again. With three games played, he’s already put up four points to put him at a 1.33 PPG average. Beckman already demonstrated his Hockey IQ against the teams in the U.S Divisions as he’s able to hit his teammates with precision when it comes to passing. He’s no slouch when it comes to shooting the puck, as he’s able to fire the puck with power and accuracy and is able to put himself in dangerous spots on the ice to get a good scoring chance. Any Wild fan watching Beckman play in the Dub would be very satisfied. He’s got the top-six forward potential and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for him. Rayan Tubeec

Vancouver is smiling from ear to ear as we aim to sign these three players to their ELC's and look forward to seeing them mature in the Orca sweater.

We have a trade to announce...

To DAL - Erik Gustafsson, Mathias Emilio Pettersen

To TBL - T.J. Brodie, Wyatt Wylie

Thanks to @Dak Prescott and @Tony Romo for the quick discussions on this deal. Happy to add TJ to the mix on defense in Tampa Bay. We feel over the last few days we have really done well to recover after Ekblad went down with a season ending injury!

Ekblad is tough to replace with the season he is having, but adding TJ and Brady Skjei and Cody Ceci should help fill that void.

We are happy with where we sit now heading in to the final stretches but may tweak here and there before the April 12 Deadline

Good luck to promising prospect Emilio Petterssen as well as to Erik Gustaffsson in Dallas
