The GM at the time was loading up for the playoffs and was willing to give up the future for that. I think in the year of the trade and the year after the trade I lost out on fantasy points. Buff and Couture are the big names but Martinez has always been a force in fantasy. Eaves was one year removed from a 30 goal season and Riley Nash was having the best season of his life with Boston. If I remember correctly, at the last hour I suggested to add James Neal on my end and Erik Karlsson on his end but he backed out of that and ended up losing in the 3rd round. Neal may have made the difference as that was the year Vegas made the finals. Is he someone we can have terminated or do we need to wait a season because he hasn't suited up yet since the signing?
