I don't really care about a footnote to division names - but continuously adding all the visual noise to the boards, the ice, now the helmets and inevitably all over the jerseys - is fugly and precisely what is meant by the term slippery slope.

Why don’t we all chip it and name our division to the “Refs Suck” division? 
 

Probably would be more effective than flying a banner.

I just hope we win the cup before it comes to this. Makes me sick. 

I can handle the ads on the boards, the helmet ads kinda irk me, if it comes to the jerseys above I’m out, there is no way I could watch. Stick ads everywhere you want but please leave them off the players.

Me too. Gave the last World Cup a miss for that reason.

There’s that other hockey tournament that’s on same time as world juniors, never watched a single game since the first time I saw those ad filled jerseys they wear, look like the sellout of all sellouts. I think it’s called the Sphincter Cup.
