aGENT
Decent cash for the current climate. Has to go to a lesser (albeit likely on their way up) team to get it though.
Coconuts
Not surprising considering he spent three seasons there 1
ruilin96
Chances are he doesn't want to go back to the Devils initially and is looking to play on a more competitive team in the Canucks, but when the Canucks decided to go with Hamonic he has no other choice so he returns to NJD. dm_ranger
Have we actually signed Hamonic? I thought it was only a PTO with the intent of more.

Basically the Canucks probably has a contract with number and term discussed in place for him already. He is on a PTO for training camp and then when Ferland goes on LTIR at the start of the season that's when they officially put the pen to paper and sign him to the deal. 1

That is my understanding too, but until the contract is signed I don't dare count him ours. I seem to remember multiple FA 'priorities' that ended up not signing. Another team could still sign him from under us.

So that limits down to Oilers, Flames and Jets. Fingers cross, but all 3 seems to have their roster set and not looking to add anyone else.

I didn't know Friedge had an account on CDC.
DownUndaCanuck
Bit of a cut for a 30-40 point pace mobile defenceman who's risky defensively. I hope Hamonic signs for the same amount. Cheeky trade and sign too, surprised it doesn't happen more often.

I'd wager he lands at the exact $1,075,000 that will be cleared by waiving Benn to the taxi squad.
JM_
Still a bit surprised it took this long for him to land somewhere, but nice deal for him all things considered.
Arrow 1983
I bet Hamonic signs for no less then 2.0mill and my best guess the Canucks sign him for between 2.25-2.

Hamonic is a bit handcuffed as well because everyone know he want to be in western Canada. I think he will be 1.5-1.75.

Totally get where you're coming from, but I think if Hamonic signed anywhere else in Canada he'd have to quarantine again for 7 days (longer if in the States) so this is one egg I'm willing to count before it hatches.

I don't think he is handcuffed I think he came here because there is a deal already in place I personally feel you can get a Vatanen type defenseman fairly easily mediocre offensive defensemen with holes in his defensive game we have a guy like that his name is Rafferty but Rafferty has much more offensive protentional Teams will pay more for guys like Hamonic, he is defensive defenseman that coaches rely on in tight games and can eat PK mins. I am saying his agent is handcuffed by having only 4 teams to negotiate with. Vatanen had the whole nhl. Don't misunderstand me, I am pumped about Hamonic and I am not saying he won't be great. We'll see? Maybe I'm wrong
Ghostsof1915
But we could have traded Eriksson for him? How can NJ pass that up?
