[PTO] Ben Hutton with Ducks

Guessing it’s to replace Djoos who they just lost to waivers.

Djoos was only waived to get under the cap before putting Kesler on LTIR and unfortunately for Anaheim got claimed by Detroit.  Anaheim had traded Sprong for him and extended him to a 1M deal.

It looks like some time out of the fishbowl/spotlight may have served him well.

Good outcomes in Los Angeles imo.

4g, 12a, +5 in 65 games.

46.9% ozone starts (team low), 55.5% corsi (3rd on the Kings).

18 minutes/ night.  Secondary pk minutes.  2.4 on ice goals against per 60 (es) - 23rd on LA.

Not bad at all.  Perhaps a bit 'inflated' playing with Matt Roy and Poughty, but still, probably good enough on paper (and on a poor team) to earn another shot...

Good for Hutton. I think he regularly works out nearby in California so it makes a lot of sense too with Covid going on.

Been following his social media and he looks very fit, doesn't have those pudgy cheeks he first had in Vancouver, he looks very very fit now. Sounds like he finally got the message. Hope he gets a deal with Anaheim although they are pressed against the cap atm.

Can you imagine if they'd had Djoos and Bieksa on the same pairing?

..get it?

Spoiler

was just reviewing the list of remaining FAs this morning and wondering when B Hut was gonna get  a pto...

good for him.

still surprised no one has taken Hainsey = no-brainer at the going rates...

no one can afford to install an acorn stair lift from the dressing room to the bench in the covid economy.
