I know technically the location where they want to  hold these outdoor games is just over the CA border in Edgewood Resort, but it doesn't seem like very good planning on the part of the NHL to schedule an event so close to where they are setting records of COVID deaths day after day.....Yeah, I get that there will be no fans, but an event like this take thousands to pull off and those thousands have to come from somewhere and stay somewhere and eat somewhere and......seems like a potential disaster waiting to happen.  I get that the NHL owners are DESPERATE for revenue of any kind, but this seems a bit reckless considering where we are with COVID, no?

FYI, while CA leads the country in cases, it's also the most populous.  Cases per million people, it's middle of the pack (26th), and of course the major problem areas are far from Tahoe.  So, perhaps not super reckless, but surely better than doing it in many of the recent venues.

Of course, IMO, stop doing the outdoor games.  The event itself is pretty cool, but the actual game that day suffers.
