-DLC-
Is there ever anything different said? I find these interview painful because...what do we expect them to say? "I HATED THAT TEAM AND WANTED OUT?!" I want to hear Voracek's parting words when he leaves... in the flip a table interview. #^@%%^@&

It is obvious now that the team lacks top six players, either by the coach's lack of confidence in a player or his reluctance to let them grow. Fine, here is a suggestion then. Stop trying to find a top line guy to play with Pettersson and Boeser. Stack ONE line, Boeser - Horvat - Pettersson and double shift them, get them 20+ minutes, they are all young and should be able to handle the grind. 2nd line Pearson - Gaudette - Virtanen, put them out there and leave them. And then the rest. Run the lines in an odd sequence to upset line matching - 1 - 2, 1 - 3, 2 - 1, 4 - 1, 2 - 3, 1 - 2 set up a rotation like that and if one line catches fire or one match up then use it. It would require more than just watching the game though. If the team can't have 2 scoring lines then make one real good one. A one line team isn't a great idea but it beats breaking player's confidence by yanking them on and off the top lines and making them believe, as well as the media, that they aren't good enough. Depth was always going to be a challenge, this team, like all others, gets injuries and now there is Covid and this will expose just how shallow the depth is and how few young players can step up. It was against Edmonton but Edler looked a lot slower than last year, I'll be sure to forward this to Green, I'm sure he'll be suuuuper interested in a new groundbreaking line change rotation from a fan forum 1

Popular Post oldnews
I love Cassie. She's one of the greatest players of all time. A huge part of bringing a whole lot of metal/medals to this country. And provides much better analysis than the vast majority of her peers. Players like her - who made jack $quat playing the game and are far better than some of the departed CBC twits - more than earned the role/job she now has. I've had to listen to complete idiots - like PJ Stock, Glen Healy, etc, etc - insufferable halfwits who were also never a fraction of the player she was.... I'll take Cassie anyday - and don't care if she might have a streak of prairie-homer in her - she's a pro regardless. Like DeBrusk - who was a Coiler - you don't necessarily detect it / he checks his ego/identity at the entrance, like a professional - one of my other new favorites - and good riddance to the guy(s) he replaced. Some people don't like her voice - Idgaf. I'm glad people like her and Tessa Bonhomme have carved out well-deserved careers beyond their playing days. The voice critique is subjective - I've never had a problem with her voice. As far as her ability as an analyst; she really knows the game. And I think she does a good job being non-partisan, atleast when shes on the panel anyways. I'll take her analysis over some of the media members we have to listen to regularly around these parts.
