Letting Markstrom and Taney walk? Sure, you all saw this coming. I said over and over again Demko is not ready. Markstrom is MVP level. Without Marky we don’t make the playoffs - simple. People seem content with getting mediocre players back after letting go of all star level players. What a joke.

Agree. Should have kept Marky.

There was no way we could fit Tanev in if we were going to bring Schmidt in.

It’s easy to blame the crappy contracts but your best players still need to win the game whether they’re being paid on ELCs or paid like all stars... meaning, if Loui, Beagle and Sutter were off the books we’d still be 1-3 based on how the top line and special teams have played.

Don't give Green a pass. If Brown and Baumer go now (which they should) Green goes as well

he is head coach and ultimately in charge. Its on him for not intervening and making changes

Alot of that frees up post season

get a new coaching staff in now, try to salvage the year. Bring in podz and be ready to roll next season

If things keep trending the way they are some of that cap could free up by TD. Could stock up on picks. It is probably the last year we could afford to draft top 5. We're gonna be stepping into prime years with this core soon after. Give some youth some time this year.

Give it till 8-12 more games to see if things go way out of hand. If they do can Green, trade some vets and give the new coach the rest of the year to work with the roster.

Agree, bring in the coaching replacement early to work with the core now and get his system in place

Okay... after a few deep breaths... which I’ll be honest, it was a lot more than a few deep breaths.... ive calmed myself down to reality and sensibility...

its only the 4th game of the season....

Game 1 I thought we played a pretty decent game and we got the result we deserved.

Game 2, McDavid came out and did his thing, we came out flat and Demko played great. I don’t believe he had much of a chance on any of the goals.

Game 3 and 4 was horrendous special teams. We did get several great chances to score but Marky was equal to the task and we had a few bad bounces.

We aren’t going to continue an average of 5.25 penalties a game for the remainder of the season. Our special teams will tighten up and things will start to click.

It’s early in the season to iron out the wrinkles and get back into the groove of things. Other teams will hit their snags later in the season and have to adjust when points are more crucial.
We have donated a few points for an ugly start to the season, but we are going to be taking points for a strong finish to the season.

It’s going to take a goal or two for that top line to get going and then it’s going to snowball

Don't be a downer - we are busy getting our anger out toward the staff and usual suspects.  All kidding aside good point !!!!
