VforVasili
But lest I be accused of trolling, my question is genuine. If you have a forward who is defensively minded, it has to be a consideration when you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for a D replacement. EmilyM
Look how hard it is for Schmidt and Hamonic to get used to playing D under a new system. And these guys are pros who have been working on being a D their whole lives. Asking Loui, or any forward for that matter, to develop the instincts to play D, the intuition to know where your D partner will be, the ability to read a D play before it forms, AND learn Green's system is too much to ask of any forward outside of Sergei Fedorov. Fair enough but Loui actually does know Green's system and executes it well. It's pretty much all he does well. The other parts are the problem for sure. What do folks think would be better or worse than using a rookie laden AHL defence lineup like we may have to on Saturday? Loui hasn't body checked anyone in 15 years . Do ya think that might actually change now???
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Well he's supposedly so good defensively, so it shouldn't be that hard for him to figure it out, unless he's really not that good defensively....
skeena1
How else are you going to develop players? This is how its done.
