Sorry to say but it's crap like this that wishes the net was never invented.

There is zero proof he made any racial slurs, more likely he called a teammate a Gay slur and sorry to say not many here haven't called someone a homo or something stupid in the heat of the moment at 16-17. The fact his black teammate miller, defended him and is still in contact with him kind of kyboshes the whole racist thing.

He was cancelled plain and simple, sure he was a dic* but if he had been a liberal dic* that would be ok.

It really sucks we live in an age where freedom of speech and other fundamentals only apply to one side of the coin.

The league and its sponsors are so keen on reaching markets that could care less about the sport every white conservative better watch out.

Listen to what Milbury said that got him canned, the bubble is good because no women to distract the players deserves a firing?

For one thing, it's true and it's a compliment to the allure women have on us. But sadly some girl who clearly had an agenda decided his fate.

So in other words, we shouldn't believe anything we've heard about why all of his past teams have cut ties with him.  These stories are all lies and we should instead only believe that there is a massive left-wing conspiracy, perpetrated by a cabal of his teams' past GMs, to drum him out of the league and ruin his pro hockey career......riiiiight!

Rofl I wasn't in NYR's locker room and you weren't either. So we all read media reports and be the judge ourselves. If what we are reading were not facts, pretty likely someone would have come out to disprove it. The fact that NYR is totally cutting ties to a tier 1 asset they went to trade for and spent resources to develop the last 2 years, tells you something doesn't sound right about Deangelo

 

The one mixing in politics to this whole mess is pretty funny. You sound like Trump. 

 

By your logic, the Rangers are Democrats and Deangelo is Republican so they decided to shut Deangelo down. So why did they trade for Deangelo to begin with 3 years ago? Did Deangelo just turned Republican recently, lol.

He admits that he has opinions that are controversial these days, but denies that he is an extremest or racist.  The writer of the article includes other teammates that back up DeAngelo's words.

 

Anyways, it's worth the read and certainly adds another dimension to this story.

There are 31 teams in the league.  This kid is a 50-60pt young defenceman that 'on the ice', would help all of them.  You gotta believe there's WAY more to this than just cancel culture.  This kid has some really really serious issues.

He's an absolute trainwreck in his own zone.  He realistically needs to go to the AHL to learn how to play defense, even if he wasn't a cancer in the room.  He'd be lucky if a KHL team gives him a chance

100% agree. We live in a world of snowflakes and those with agendas who have no concept of the word reasonable. There is no more middle. If you don’t choose the left wing view of the world you are simply a racist, misogynistic, sexist, homophobic or any other phobic or ist. Many of the middle conforms to avoid these titles, regardless of how unreasonable it is.

 

The media perpetuates this and the state bends to this will. The only counter is the right wing and they have all been labeled those names mentioned so it becomes harder for the middle to vote them in. The constant false reminders eventually lead some of the middle to believe in those lies.

It is kind of confusing to me when, if such a big trouble maker he was on Sarnia for 4 seasons, and again with the rangers for 4 seasons..............sure he is right wing

 

So is 50% of the US and a good part of Eastern Canada

 

Could he use some sensitively training.....sure, but so can my wife!

It could be a misconception and what he has said might be getting misinterpreted but the onus is on him to elaborate on his POVs and clarify if he hasn’t already.
