We all know there is one way to win a game against a team that plays faster than you. Do what Bruins did to us in 2011 SCF and LA in 2012.

You just have to grind it out and lay the body. Make them play slow by hitting them. I get that our players are tired from the crazy schedule but we have to hit and take the body every single time or else we are losing.

We gave up way too much time and space; when 38/39 year old slowed down Spezza is getting a hat trick, you know you've given them too much time and space.

This team hasn't done that in some time. They have the horses for that kind of race, but they are rarely ever the aggressor. They should be. This Sedinesque turn the other cheek crap is for the birds.

We had a good balance with the Sedins and Kes/Burr/Bieksa/etc back then.

We were classy and annoying(putting it nicely) at the same time.

But never imposing or intimidating. Kesler and Burrows would mix it up, but also had some embarrassing on ice antics. Bieksa, while as tough as nails, needed more support from other like minded players.

Good interview with Schmidt on Sportsnet right now.

-Miller is very outspoken in the room (no surprise there), and he wishes more players were (hmmm...).

-Much harder to sit in a group and hammer things out with all the covid restrictions.

-Nate likes teasing Hoglander.

Two more season and no more Loui ahhh...

let’s see this

Jake Petey Hog

Miller Bo Boeser

Pearson Sutter Gaudette

Motte beagle Zak Mack

3rd line needs steadier defense add Pearson give Jake yet another shot for. Big game, his play has been a little more up tempo(long shot) but maybe he gets it. Zak Mack needs to be in Rooster just isn’t himself anymore. His best now it being slightly irritating in the last 5 mins of a game. Zak can add some strength to the Fourth. Hog has been our steadiest forward effort wise him and Motte but taking motte off the 4th makes that line sooooo weak.

If only Jake could figure it out full time that is, these would be some well balanced lines imo

Your big move is putting Jake on the first line?
