56 game season man. Quarter of it already gone. Clocks a ticking

Yep.  Rather than look at the standings (by points) in the league, I like to sort the teams by goal differential on NHL.com.  I find that the goal differential is usually fairly close to the standings but the goal differential is probably a better indicator of where a team ranks in the league (hint:  we don't rank very good).

Winning percentage is also a good indicator and, again, we don't rank very good.  Last year, we just squeaked into the playoffs - a lot of people forget that.  Anyway, I always hope for the best - 50 years and counting.

^weird comment.  Toronto is a lovely place.

Anyways, we'll probably lose like 6-3 or 7-2.  As I have said all along, this team is finished.  "Marquee signing" Jayce Hawrlyuk has yet to sniff the ice, meanwhile, 700k signings everywhere else are making the difference.  Makes you wonder...

Apparently it's their "birthright" because of their inferiority complex towards Toronto.

I'm not originally from Vancouver (or Canada for that matter) but I've quickly come to realize that locals like to hype up a "rivalry" or bash other cities when there is no reciprocation of that whatsoever on the other side. Especially when it comes to Toronto.

I have lots of friends who are born in Toronto and reside there who are leafs fans, and they couldn't care less when it comes to the city of Vancouver. No ill-words nor praise. Just simply don't care.

It really just exposes the insecurity of the individuals and the feelings of their own city, so I just find it laughable lol

Soooooo... What's to expect from ... Another blow out? A solid team effort by both teams?

Do the Canucks wake up, or sleep until they come back to Vancouver.

Do the coaches make any adjustments, or has the schedule handcuffed the coaches and practice time.

What I fear the most is an injury... Other than that, this is pretty much rock bottom.

Dont expect anything but disappointment. That way if you're disappointed at least you expected it.

It stings less that way

If juolevi doesn't play tomorrow or vs Calgary in our first game set. I am calling out the Canucks for concealing an injury. There is no reason he can't play vs cgy. I can see concern of him being exposed by Toronto's speed but he can handle cgy if healthy.

All you need to call out is our genius coaching staff who can't fathom guys playing their off-side.

Like what kind of bull$&!# system is predicated by balance of RH and LH players?

What a bunch of crap.

Pettersson, Hughes, Boeser, Gaudette.

Watch the games. They aren’t putting forth the effort to help their team, at the very least, look like they’re competitive. They’re just floating like everyone else on the team right now, hoping that someone in the veteran core will show them the way.

Sadly, the veteran core doesn’t seem capable of getting them out of the funk. Should these insanely talented kids not grab that reign and say “&^@# it” and do whatever they can to make their team the best it can be?

Agree 100 percent.

And it pains me to say it about Petey.

OJs a good skater.

One of Greens biggest mistakes this year has been dressing Chatfield who keeps getting burned multiple times a game.  Makes no sense why OJ isnt in

Why would anyone living in Vancouver be insecure about Toronto?  Everyone i know in Toronto wishes they lived in Vanvouver.

Losing Tanev was  a MAJOR mistake.........     Signing Myers to that contract ... was another huge mistake...   Signing Harmonic was another disaster....

Edler has been a warrior but clearly is on the downslide of his career.  Asking too much from him now.

Canucks D is definately a weak spot.  Can't win that D that is that thin.... and void of top 4 D men.

Agree we miss Tanev and wish we had him but not sure why youre crapping on Hamomic.  Hes been a hell of a damn good dman everywhere hes been and is younger than Tanev.  He hasnt played in a year and barely practiced with the team before his injiry.. obvs there will be rust there.  Hamonics intensity and leadership is exactly what we will need to count on to help get this ship corrected because, hate to break it to fans here, we arent seeing anyone on the farm make any positive impact anytime soon.

Stecher had some of the best underlying stats of any defensemen on the team. Plus he's a local kid. Why was he let go?

The enduring mystery of our time. Stetcher was great here and gave 100%. Benning incompetence most likely. And what a message to give to the rest of the team.

Explains a few things about the two cities; personally, I still will not live there.  GCG !

Beats me. Vancouver is a great city.

What I'm saying is that there is no need to bash other cities for no reason. I see a lot of Vancouverites tend to do that towards Toronto when that feeling isn't reciprocated at all. As for the reasons why? Idk, you tell me. Maybe because Toronto gets more attention? Because Toronto is bigger? All very petty honestly.

Just enjoy your community and your city and be thankful you live in it.
